<br> Binance had a 13.7% increase in its spot volumes to $504 billion, an all-time high market share for the exchange. The original crypto coin has leapt 20% to two-month highs at $30,182 over the past 11 days after BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, revealed hopes for a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States. Note, however, that due to the natural variance in the rate of block discovery, it’s only possible to make a rough estimate of the current amount of network hash rate over short periods of time. This code worked pretty well for smaller blocks, but when I tried using it to get the stats of a more recent block – which often have over a thousand transactions – I quickly noticed a problem. Some have speculated that flooding in south western China has destroyed a significant amount of mining equipment. In a slowly-progressing discussion, members of the bitcoin-dev mailing list have been attempting to construct an informally-worded security proof that enabling graftroot delegation by default doesn’t reduce the security of users who don’t need it (e.g. who just want to use taproot without delegation or even just plain MAST). Taproot further improves MAST scalability, privacy, and fungibility by allowing even the used conditional branch in a script to be left out of the block chain in the common case. Graftroot improves taproot’s flexibility and http://www.youtube.com scalability by allowing participants in the script to delegate their spending authority to other parties, including allowing the existing participants to impose additional script-based conditions on the delegates-all done offchain and without reducing the scalability, privacy, and fungibility benefits. MAST improves scalability, privacy, and fungibility by allowing unused conditional branches in Bitcoin scripts to be left out of the block chain. I also think that most of what came out of this recent craze is complete bullshit, a nauseating combination of techno-utopioanism, fraud and pure stupidity. The recent lighting network upgrade also does away with several problems that Bitcoin is facing. Litecoin is an open source, global payment network that is fully decentralized without any central authorities.
Lower network hash rate implies a slower rate of block discovery, which can lead to mempool congestion and potentially higher fees. In this case, you’re essentially entering a short position on Bitcoin since you’re selling high to rebuy lower. ● Testnet high block production rate: late last week, a miner produced a large number of blocks in rapid succession on testnet, sometimes several blocks per second, leading to a degradation of service from some testnet providers. ● Pending DoS vulnerability disclosure for Bitcoin Core 0.12.0 and earlier. RPC in bitcoind expected to be released in Bitcoin Core 0.17. It gives several useful statistics for any given block. ● Transaction fees remain very low: as of this writing, fee estimates for confirmation 2 or more blocks in the future remain at roughly the level of the default minimum relay fee in Bitcoin Core. Bitcoin Average Transaction Fee is at a current level of 1.427, down from 1.592 yesterday and up from 1.282 one year ago. If your organization produces or makes critical use of one of the aforementioned interoperating wallets, you may wish to evaluate the current proposal ASAP before it is<br>a<br>ed.
In addition, Fibonacci ratios outside of the 0-100% range may also be used. Altcoins may be affected. After exploring these options, I decided I could probably get most of the stats needed for the dashboard through RPCs from bitcoind. Asking bitcoind to do thousands of RPCs for every single block quickly becomes unsustainable, and was taking a very long time. My code was calling getrawtransaction for every single transaction input in the block. So, rather than dealing with the overhead of many RPCs, I decided I should modify this one RPC and get everything I need from a block in a single RPC. UTXOs into one transaction output, and the total number of outputs consolidated. UTXOs that would be considered dust at several different fee-rates. Optech community and communication – optimizing Optech for business’ needs. A summary of relevant action items, dashboard items, and news from the broader Bitcoin open source community. The rest of this post will be about my experience building <br>dashboard. -
